Fire Ops 101

Fire Ops 101 was created by the International Association of Fire Fighters to help educate individuals that work or hold office within our city. The Fountain Valley Firefighters and Fire Department decided to collaborate in order to implement this opportunity locally.

The City Manager, Council Members, and multiple employees within Fountain Valley attended and experienced a taste of what the Firefighters in their community do on a daily basis. Working together, we helped educate members of our community on what exactly our job duties entail. From firefighting tactics, technical rescue, paramedic services, and auto-extrication, we gave employees and members within our city a hands-on experience that showed just how rigorous and important our job is to Fountain Valley.

The event was held on May 18th and was an overwhelming success largely thanks to the great relationship between the Chief Coppolino and the Fountain Valley Firefighters Association.

Thanks to Fire Chief Tony Coppolino and FVFA President Nick Fasullo for bringing this program to life in Fountain Valley!
